Cincinnati Bell Selects Propel Accelerator


June 21, 2004, San Jose, CA and Cincinnati, OH, Propel Software Corporation, a leader in Internet acceleration, today announced that Cincinnati Bell, the leading provider of broadband services in the Greater Cincinnati area has selected Propel to provide Web acceleration for Cincinnati Bell's entire dial-up Internet access user base. Cincinnati Bell dial-up customers with Propel Accelerator will be able to surf the Internet at speeds up to five times faster than average dial-up speeds and benefit from pop-up blocking to deter unwanted and annoying advertisements. The Cincinnati Bell Dial-Up Accelerator is free to all existing dial-up subscribers and will be available to new subscribers by logging on to www.cincinnatibell.com and downloading the accelerator feature for a nominal charge.

According to recent market research issued on May 20, 2004 by ISP Planet, a leading ISP marketing firm, Cincinnati Bell ranked in the top 20 of U.S. ISPs in Q1 2004 based on the number of customers that subscribe to its dial-up service. In the ISP Planet listing, Propel currently provides acceleration to 3 of the top 7 dial-up ISPs in the US.
